Romans 6:1-2 NKJV
[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? [2] Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
I preached a sermon entitled “Holiness, the unpopular subject.” Maybe I need to say, I am not part of the so-called “Holiness Movement.” I am a born-again believer who believes in living a Christlike life. In the above verse, the Apostle Paul encouraged us to break with sin as we live by grace. Holiness is incomplete without grace because no man is perfect. Grace is incomplete without holiness because grace is not a licence to sin, but it is God’s way of making you holy. Grace will fill you up where you are falling short and present you faultless before God.
Declarations.
I refuse to live in sin.
I live by the grace of God.
Prophetic Instructions.
Do not be afraid of the subject of holiness.
You might not be perfect, but neither do you need to be wicked. God has made provision for you by His grace.
Be aware that grace is not a licence to sin, but God’s provision for your perfection.
We do not subscribe to the lawful acts of holiness, but we submit to the grace of God as we endeavour to live a life that is worthy of the gospel.
As you lovingly live a life that is fully dedicated to God, allow Grace to perfect you and make you holy.
